Proving that product animation doesn’t always have to be instructional, this project shows the evolution of a single product. From its launch in 2009 through to the present day, the animation is detailed in its depiction of the way the product has changed.
Created for ChargePoint’s stand at a New York exhibition, the main focus was showing the design improvements. But with creative camera angles, on screen marketing messages and lots of shiny shiny steel!
We worked hard to find the perfect balance between on-screen looks, experimenting with different lighting effects.

Starting with seven sets of CAD drawings covering all the different models from the last ten years, we experimented with different lighting effects. Furthermore, we worked hard to find the perfect balance between on-screen looks. Finally, we pushed through faster render times to ensure project delivery in time for the exhibition.
Because we could get a bit more creative with the cinematography, this project was great fun to work on. The finished result features dramatic camera angles and dynamic pacing, increasing the visual impact of the whole piece.
